Fulstow Newsletter - May 2001

April Showers !!! Rain, Hail & Snow lets hope May is going to be a little better.

Well not a lot to report because you are not very forth coming, so here we go.

Play Area: - This is now complete. It doesn’t look a lot for the money, but the flooring was nearly half of the cost. Those of you with children using the equipment may have noticed that it took approx.: 4 days for some of our little "Angels" to start with the vandalism. The damage has been fixed & if anyone has any concern regarding the Health & Safety issue, all the Certificates are available to be seen. Contact Tony Vessey.

On a lighter note the Play area is to be officially open on Wednesday, May 23rd 2001 at 12.30p.m & the school children will be attending. The money raised for the swings etc., came from the Millennium Events staged through 2000 so a big THANK YOU to the Millennium Committee once again.

The Opening is to be official performed by a lady that has constantly for at least 2 if not 3 generation of village children been the backbone or organiser of most of the children’s events, disco etc. in the village & for this we THANK Mrs Murial Thornes . So please come along for the press photo’s Refreshments will be served.

Friday, May 4th- We have a Canadian Folk Music Band live in the Village Hall, see the posters for details.
