Fulstow Newsletter - January 2002

A Happy New Year to all, with the events of 2001 still lingering in the Middle East & Asia, lets hope & pray, whatever your religion or belief’s may be, for a more peaceful New Year especially, for all the children and innocent victims of the war torn countries of the world.

Hello & welcome to any new corners to Fulstow, please try and get involved with any of the group mentioned below, any extra help is always appreciated.

Not a lot for January, so I have probably missed out some group or meeting Sorry, if you have something to advertise or say let me know, as my constant ramblings I am sure, are not to everyone’s liking. If anyone would like to take over the newsletter please also, let me know. A big thank you to Mrs Joyce Marshall and the others of you who deliver these through the doors each month.

History Group would like to apologise to everyone who wanted the book for Xmas present (we did too), but due to circumstances beyond ours & the printers control it will be ready in the next few weeks.... watch this space.

Queen’s Jubilee - I have had a few (and I do mean a few) calls offering help if we do decide to do anything. The Government is offering NO help, the Parish Council have NO funds, the village hall is willing to give the hail, premises & help out where possible but has NO funds, so everything has to be raised. So this is what’s planned if you can all be bothered to support the fund raising.

Street Party for the children, with an afternoon of races etc. We would like to have either a go-kart race (built by the children, no motorised ones), so everyone with pushchairs keep an eye on your wheels!! or best dressed bike etc. IDEA’S BBQ & Disco at night, the Disco alone is £ 100 due to the date, so we need to raise approx. £800.00 to give the kid’s a good afternoon & us a good night. 1st Event below
