Can you all still be vigilant about locking doors, sheds & garages although things have quietened down no point in taking chances. Forthcoming for June JUBILEE A meeting is to be held on for the final arrangements, please can we have some interest shown as 4 people to organise the day is going to be hard work. BBQ cooks required urgently. Disco in the evening is a family event- any non accompanied under 18s will be asked to leave sorry. With this newsletter you will have received a reply for the Jubilee, so as not to waste the money raised, please fill it in and return or telephone by May 27th so we know how many are attending SPORTS WEEK Commences Saturday June 1st event timetables are up in the shop & pub please come along and support as many events as possible. CAR TREASURE HUNT Monday June 10th See notice in shop for details, this is always an excellent evening finishing off with a pub meal & lots of good humour & banter. If you have never done a car treasure hunt before it really is a treat. OPEN GARDENS Sunday June 16th 1.00pm 5.00pm - 11 gardens in the village will be open on this day. Tickets for all gardens can be purchased from the village hall, which will be the starting point. Tickets are £ 1.50 each and all proceed will go to our church St. Lawrence. Refreshments will be being served in the village hall during these times. This is a 1st for Fulstow so try & support all those who have put in a lot of hard work for the event. OPEN AIR CHURCH SERVICE Sunday June 16th Village Hall Green HISTORY Every Thursday evening 7.30pm Village Hall - £2.00 per week coming along learn & share your knowledge - development of the villages of Fulstow, Marshchapel, Cawthorpe (Covenham St Bartholomew) Covenham, Grainthorpe and Conisholme. Our studies will involve using maps, pictures and site visits. We will begin with the Romans and their settlement of the Marshes end with the Victorians. Why not join us on our voyage of discovery WIMBLESTOW For those that dont know this tennis extravaganza is held over a weekend. Double tournament partners of different generations see posters around. |
