Happy New Year

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Paul Vines husband of Sharon nee Vessey died suddenly on Friday, January 17th. Our deepest sympathy & love go out to Sharon, Sam, Eloise & Jack and too both the Vines & Vessey families at this time. Funeral  Friday, 24th January at Grimsby Crematorium at 11.45am

Unfortunately, the newsletter had been printed early for Xmas so we where not able to express sympathy’s to Mr. Bramley family, Mr. Bramley died in early December after a long illness, he will be remembered as a regular member of the chapel congregation & a fine gentleman.

The New Years Eve party at the hall was I think all who attended a great success and thanks should go to Nigel Larder for all the hard work. WELL DONE

The children Christmas party went well & actually made a profit this year, not a lot of magic but when the poor guy was presented with 57 children (normally attendance is approx: 30) he found it difficult, but did a great job. Many thanks to Gail Bradbury for her help.

The Cyril Brown Memorial Committee met last week and they hope to start putting the memorial in place in the spring, this will be on the bank with the flowerbeds, that Cyril tended each year.

The Cross Keys Christmas draw John would like to thank everyone who donated prizes and the evening made a profit of £60 of which £30 has been donated to the Church & £30 to the chapel
