Fulstow NewsJune/July 2005Star in their Eyes - Well what an excellent evening a big thanks to all the children & Simon who took part each one was a winner. The fact that such a small community can put on 16 acts is a credit. The evening raised around £300.00 for the hall. We should also thank Richard Askam for keeping his sanity and co-ordinating the whole evening and to Keith Dowse from Louth who turns out for these events and does all the lighting & sound, often straight from work.. Without Keith the shows would be non starters. Thanks Keith. VE Day Celebrations & Dancing held in the Cross Keys raised £150.00 towards the War Memorial and the dance music booked for those who had wanted something different to a disco was excellent. Unfortunately, the turn out was disgusting and I would like to thank the few who did come and also made the effort with war dress and especially to Linda & Andrew for donating the food and raffle prizes for the evening and to the others who made generous donations to the evening. Those of us who did go had a smashing evening so thank you all. War Memorial - Well, we have had such an overwhelming response about this since it hit the national press. Donations are still arriving and we should be able to cover the cost of a memorial after all.
