Now, nearly 40 years later, he's back on the farm, in the very barn from where he used to steal scrap metal to feed his Iron friend and he's remembering... trying to work things out, trying to put things right... It's in this barn that he conjures up the story of what happened when he met the Iron Man and how together they saved the world. Ted Hughes described The Iron Man as a children's tale told in five nights. This production will be an invitation for people to sit back, soak up the atmosphere and lose themselves in the story. The beautiful and dramatic music will entrance audiences of all ages. Here's an opportunity to meet the Iron Man in different shapes and sizes and find out just how funny, friendly and sad he really is. The Iron Man will work best for children aged 8 to 11 years (school age - Years 4, 5 & 6) plus their friends & family. Children aged 7 may have difficulty following some of it and/or are more likely to get scared as there are some pretty loud noises and quite frightening sections. Parents should definitely be encouraged not to bring children aged under 7 years.
