It's been nice to see the high Police presence in the village over the last 2 months, and long may it continue. So far the damage to the hall, pavilion & the general publics property has reach the fabulous figure of nearly £10,000. We would like to thank ******** ***** and his friends for visiting our village and on top of the mindless vandalism they have caused, tearing up the football pitch with handbrake turns and scooter riding. I hope that when they are about, everyone could thank them personally if they know they are responsible. However, it was also nice to see that the phone box is in its usual excellent state of repair. Well done Church as many of you know the church roof is still in a bad state of repair, however the open gardens helped and thank you to everyone who gave their time on the day. The cost of a new roof is immense, so if you can think of any way in which we can raise funds please contact Derek Wardle with your ideas. In December a Christmas Lunch has been arranged please, please come along and support .If a church closes for any length of time it can be very, very difficult for it to be reopened. Also, Keith Tomlin will be holding his last service for the parish churches on September 10 th at Fotherby; I think everyone would like to thank Keith for the commitment he has given to his work over the past few years in the area. I am sure he will be missed, although not in Fulstow! For those new to the village the hall has a badminton court and you can hire the hall for this, as well as children's parties, adult parties and club or one off events. Due to the usual escalation of costs the hire of the hall has gone up to the bargain price of £ 5.50 per hour to residents. If you want to book for a party with a bar etc contact Nicky Pike 363406 Bowls re-starts at the village hall w/c Sept 4 th on Monday evening at 7.30pm if you fancy a game go along. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. Once over the hill you pick up speed. Bills travel through the post at twice the speed of cheques why? | |
