ROBERT KING
Due to so many enquiries regarding Robert, the King family have asked me to include the following in this months newsletter.
‘This is just a short note to say THANK YOU for all the letters, support and generosity over the last few months.
Robert had three major brain operations whilst in a coma for 12 days. He continues to suffer with double vision and requires a further operation to remove trapped muscle tissue behind his left eye.
Recent brain scans show that his brain is still swollen and it will take a long time to recover. It is still early days for this recovery, but seems to be forever for Rob.
The case against those accused of the assault is due to be heard at Lincoln Crown Court on Dec 7th and not the 14th as originally stated.
Thank you all once again.’
I am sure that I can safely say we all wish Rob a full and speedy recovery.
MESSAGE FROM MEMBERS OF FULSTOW CHURCH
Thank you to all the people who have donated to the Church Roof Appeal.
To date, we have raised about £10.000 but there is still a long way to go. We have recently applied for an English Heritage Grant but it will be some months before we know of we have been successful. In the meantime, we continue to need your help and support. If you have not yet contributed to our ‘Buy a Slate’ appeal, these are available from Leslie Thornes, Derek Wardle and The Cross Keys. Slates cost £5 each and you receive a small certificate with your name on. Why not buy someone you love a slate for Christmas?
Mrs Joyce Marshall Snr has raised enough money for the new Church gate and this is presently under construction. She would like to thank everyone who gave so generously to make this possible.
