Fulstow News
March 2008

I have had the grand total of TWO people who have notified me that they wish to receive this newsletter by e-mail. (& one of those is from Covenham).
Obviously Fulstow is not as up to date as I was led to believe.
e mail me at juli.good@btinternet.com if you decide you do want it delivered in this way in the future and I will make sure you receive it every month.

It is with great sadness that I report the death of a well-known face in Fulstow.
73-year-old Anthony Carlbom, died at home on 14 February 2008 in the same room at Fulstow Hall in which he was born, following a very short illness.
He will be fondly remembered by residents of Fulstow as a familiar figure. Firstly, riding his horse around the village and latterly striding out with stick in hand and dogs at his heels. His support for this village has been continual and generous over a great many years and he will be sadly missed.
Our sympathy is with his family, his wife Gunilla and children Camilla, Paul and Edward at this very sad time.
A private funeral service is to be held, with a memorial service to be held at a later date, to be announced.
BLACK TIE & TIARA MASQUARADE BALL
What a brilliant night!!  Nobody can do it like Fulstow can.
Can’t think of a single thing to complain about. (Not that I would want to anyway!!)
The meal was superb as usual – Service was spot on and entertainment very professional. (with a bit of help from Mrs Larder!!)
Well-done and grateful thanks to all of you who put in so much hard work.  It was well worth the effort.

Well done to Bradley and Harry Jacklin & Charlie Bulmer.

During the last school half term, these enterprising young men took it upon themselves to organise football training for the younger ones on the sports field.
They did it all themselves, including refreshments etc. and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
Well done lads.  Nice to be able to report on the good work that you kids do!!
When is the next one?  The youngsters can’t wait!!

  • I love cooking with wine . . . sometimes I even put it in the food.
A clear conscience . . . is the sign of a bad memory
