Minutes of the Meeting of Fulstow Parish Council
Held in the Chapel School Rooms
On Monday 1st October 2007, at 7.30pm.
Attending:- F. Bradbury, D. Thornes, R. Donovan and S. Carpenter.
- Apologies for Absence - D. Wardle, F. Butt and T. Vessey.
- Planning Consultation – Erection of 2No detached houses, erection of a detached double garage, conversion of and alterations to ex. outbuildings, to include a reduction in the roof height, to provide a bin store for Plot 1 and bin store, w.c., utility and kitchen for Plot 2, ex. dwelling, outbuildings and workshop on site to be removed, provision of parking and construction of a driveway – East Farm, Main Street – N/056/01810/07
DECISION: - REFUSE:-
- The Council will not support tandem development, the introduction of which is contrary to the character of the village.
- The proposed parking arrangements for Plot1 may lead to the reduction of freedom of movement for Plot 2 and the field beyond.
- The proposed Plot 2 dwelling will introduce overlooking and affect the privacy currently enjoyed by the occupiers of the neighbouring dwellings.
However, in view of the fact the existing dwelling and outbuildings on this site have received minimal, if any, investment in improving their condition, the Council will not object to a single frontage dwelling on this site on condition:-
- The height of the dwelling does not conflict with neighbouring dwellings and
- As the sewage disposal system serving this area is already overloaded, the disposal for the proposed dwelling be managed on site
