Minutes of the Meeting of Fulstow Parish Council
Held in the Village Hall on Thursday 17th September 2007 at 7.30pm.
Attending:- F. Bradbury, D. Thornes, R. Donovan and F. Butt.
- Apologies for Absence:- S. Carpenter, T. Vessey, D. Wardle and District Councillor D. Stephenson.
- The Minutes of the Meeting held 23rd August 2007 were agreed as a true record and duly signed by the Chairman.
- Matters Arising – the Clerk informed the Council he had replied to the letter from the Election Officer, East Lindsey expressing the virtues of the Village Hall continuing as a polling station.
- Sandbag Provision – the Clerk presented to the Council a letter received from East Lindsey setting out in detail the provision of sand and sandbags to the village as assistance to contain future flooding. The matter was discussed at some length and the Council decided – The Clerk prepares and places a notice on the board asking if any resident is willing to store sandbags and sand on their property; possibly in the four corners of the village. This action would support the item to be placed in the next issue of the newsletter.
- Recycle for East Lindsey – the Clerk informed the Council that East Lindsey has written offering a presentation focusing on the importance of recycling. The Council requested the Clerk to reply taking up the offer and offering future meeting dates.
- LSP for East Lindsey Assembly, 27th September 2007 – the Council noted the contents of the invitation.
- Coastal Masterplan Workshop 17th September 2007 - the Council noted the contents of the invitation.
- E.L.D.C. Footpath Diversion – No 89 Fulstow – the Council noted the order had now been confirmed.
- Planning Matters:-
- The Council noted East Lindsey had approved – alterations and extension to Meadow Cottage, Bridge Lane – N/056/0962/07
- Consultation – Erection of 1 No pair of Semi-detached bungalows and 1No. block of 3 No houses, construction of vehicular and pedestrian access – Land off Millway, N/056/01625/07 – Decision – the Council Approved the spirit of the development but recommended 1 No. pair of 3 bedroom houses should replace the block of 3 houses.
- Any Other Business –
- The Council approved the signature and issue of a cheque for £99.77 to Anglian Water for supply of water to the village green.
- The Clerk was requested to contact Lincolnshire County Council Highways regarding the following:-
- Ditch collapsing – ditch outside Moated Grange, Station Road.
- Condition of kerbstones outside shop
- Removal of vegetation – Main Street.
- Date of Next Meeting – 25th October 2007.
